These are not crime counts or a measure of workload. Calls vary in complexity and can change with reporting behaviour.

The City’s annual RCMP series includes the rise into 2023 and the decline afterward. The 2025 figure is checked against page 45 of the Annual Report. The label is files / calls because the City used annual file count before 2022. Part-year downtown figures are not mixed in. This is neither a per-person rate nor proof of what caused the change.
